Peel ply is a 100% polyamide release fabric applied as the outermost layer of a composite laminate. It does not bond to thermosetting resins and can be easily removed from the laminate surface once the resin has fully cured.
The fabric allows excess resin to bleed into the breather/bleeder layer, producing a uniform, resin-controlled surface with a textured finish. This eliminates the need for sanding when applying additional laminate layers or subsequent finishing treatments, resulting in significant time savings and improved bonding performance.
