Key System PropertiesThe Spabond 540 system consists of a resin combined with different hardeners based on your project requirements:
- Extreme gap filling: The standard Spabond 540 resin is formulated to fill gaps and joints up to 30 mm (1.18 inches) thick without slumped areas.
- Sag resistance: Highly thixotropic, allowing vertical applications up to 30 mm thick without sagging.
- Low exotherm: Minimizes heat generation and shrinkage in very thick joints, protecting the structure.
- Visual mix control: The resin and hardeners are differently pigmented to easily verify a homogeneous mix by color change.
- Low viscosity version: A Spabond 540LV variant exists, optimized for thinner bond lines (under 20 mm) and smoother application via cartridges.
