QXE 650

650 g/m² quadraxial glass fibre fabric manufactured from four layers of unidirectional reinforcement oriented at 0°, +45°, 90°, and -45°. This multi-axial construction provides excellent load distribution and outstanding mechanical performance in multiple directions.

Widely used in hand lay-up, vacuum infusion, resin injection, and RTM (Resin Transfer Moulding) processes, it is suitable for the production of high-performance composite components requiring superior structural properties and high-quality surface finishes.

Features

  • Quadraxial glass fibre reinforcement.

  • Areal weight: 650 g/m².

  • Fibre orientations: 0°, +45°, 90°, and -45°.

  • Excellent multi-directional mechanical properties.

  • Suitable for complex structural laminates.

  • Provides an excellent balance between strength, stiffness, and laminate quality.

Resin Compatibility

Suitable for use with all major thermosetting resin systems, including:

  • Polyester resins.

  • Vinyl ester resins.

  • Epoxy resins.

  • Urethane-acrylic resins.

Manufacturing Processes

  • Hand lay-up.

  • Vacuum infusion.

  • Resin injection.

  • RTM (Resin Transfer Moulding).

Benefits

  • Excellent structural reinforcement in multiple load directions.

  • Ideal for applications requiring high mechanical strength and premium cosmetic finishes.

  • Helps minimise fibre print-through on gelcoat surfaces when positioned correctly within the laminate structure.

  • Suitable for marine, automotive, industrial, and general composite manufacturing applications.

Note: To minimise fibre print-through on gelcoat surfaces, the reinforcement should not be positioned excessively close to the gelcoat layer.
